So we have decided to start a blog.... Mainly this is to help keep our family and friends around the country up-to-date on what is going on in our little world! We have had the pleasure of staying up to speed with some of you because of your blogs and thought that it was a great idea!
So to open our blog I guess giving a little update on where we are now is a good start!
Well as of today Ryan and I have been married for 305 days!!! I can't believe how fast time has flown by... It has been amazing so far and we can't wait to see what the future holds for us! After the wedding and the wonderful 2 week honeymoon we had to return to reality.... So Ryan returned back to his job at JP Morgan(Chase) where he is still working hard and doing very well as a Financial Advisor. I returned to my job at Sterling Partners where I was working as a HR generalist.. However, I since have lost my job due to the restructuring of the company because of the economy... No worries tho it was and has been for the best. We also have moved into a house in Buffalo Grove IL which we, along with our 2 boys (Brooks and Bali our dogs) LOVE!! The space and the yard is exactly what we were looking for.
There hasn't been a ton of exciting or crazy stuff to write about ... Our life as of now consists of the day to day grind and finding time to hang with some of our friends and family... Ryan and I have really enjoyed being able to spend time with all our nieces and nephews. They are all growing up so fast.. it is an amazing thing to witness.
The next major event that we have on our agenda is the celebration of our 1 year anniversary(June 13th)!! Again I can't believe how fast it has gone by! For this Ryan and I have decided to treat ourselves to a long weekend in VEGAS!! It has been a long time for both of us since we have been there. We have some things pre planned to do out there that we are both excited for and think should be fun... We are attending a cirque du soleil show as well as taking a helicopter to the Grand Canyon.... and of course I'm sure you'll catch Ryan at the Blackjack table at some point!
